The applied research project Owning Online Art examines the conditions for an introduction of net-based art into the art market. Supported by the Fine Arts Institute of the UAS Northwestern Switzerland, Academy of Art and Design, a discussion on the marketing and collectability of online art is held in dialog with an interdisciplinary team. The aim of the study is to support the DACollection / DAStore venture in its founding phase and to accompany it with research.
Markus Schwander and Reinhard Storz are responsible for the research project and it is coordinated by Isabel Zürcher. It was led by the Institute for Design and Art Research of the UAS Northwestern Switzerland. The project was supported by the Kommission für Technologie und Innovation (KTI).
